A name that is also a philosophy

In Japanese, kanso means simplicity — the removal of what is unnecessary and a conscious choice to create an environment where it is easier to focus, relax, and feel well.

Inspired by this philosophy, we created a furniture collection where the focus is not on excessive details, but on proportions, materiality, and balance. KANSO furniture is characterised by subtle design, clean lines, and natural materials that allow the collection to blend organically into a variety of spaces.

A system, not just individual furniture pieces

The strength of KANSO lies in its consistency. We did not create just a separate conference table or standalone office furniture pieces — we created a unified system whose elements complement one another both in design and materiality.

This means that within the same office, while maintaining a consistent aesthetic, it is possible to create several different spaces: a meeting room, a dining area, or a lounge corner. A conference table, coffee table, cabinet, or coffee station — all of these can coexist harmoniously, connected through both their design language and materials.

Such a system is convenient for both architects and clients: there is no need to search for multiple suppliers or combine different collections. By choosing KANSO, maintaining a cohesive office interior becomes effortless.

Timeless materiality

Today’s office interior trends naturally dictated the materials this collection should be made from. The primary material of KANSO is oak veneer, available in either a light finish or a darker shade reminiscent of walnut.

Today, oak veneer is used not only in furniture — it can also be seen in wall panels, glass partitions with wooden frames, and even acoustic systems. The veneer itself is a timeless and durable solution that will remain relevant for many years to come. As a result, the KANSO collection integrates naturally into offices that already feature this material, further strengthening the overall sense of cohesion within the space.

Kintsugi — an imperfection transformed into a defining feature of the collection

The uniqueness of the KANSO collection lies not only in its name or materials, but also in the details we usually try to hide.

Almost every office has a conference table. And in almost every office, efforts are made to conceal electrical cables — routing them invisibly, covering them with lids, or disguising them in other ways. While creating the KANSO collection, we decided to approach this detail differently — not to hide it, but to turn it into an advantage.

Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi — the tradition of repairing broken ceramics with gold lacquer, where the repair lines are intentionally left visible as a symbol of fragility, strength, and beauty — we chose not to conceal the cable management detail, but to highlight it. In this collection, it is finished in gold or bronze tones that naturally complement the oak veneer and become a distinctive accent throughout the collection.

In this way, a practical technical solution became a design feature that not only serves a function, but also sets KANSO apart from most conference tables and office furniture collections.

What comes next

KANSO is only the first step. Very soon, our collections will be expanded with the SABI soft seating collection, also inspired by the aesthetics of Japanese minimalism and designed to create continuity with the furniture already introduced.
