SELECTION OF SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS
We carefully select and consider the origin of the sustainable materials used in the production processes. The wood for furniture production is sourced from FSC, PEFC certified and sustainably managed forests. By using wood responsibly, we stop deforestation and contribute to the preservation of the forest ecosystem. The production of all Ergolain standard furniture uses LMDP panels with 0.5 of E formaldehyde emissions. We also choose sustainable materials in production of our upholstered furniture. Fabrics includes natural wool, recycled wool and recycled polyester which is extracted from plastic collected at the sea. Yarns used in the production of upholstered furniture are made of recycled polyester.
An implemented certified effective management system ‘Lean‘ helps to optimize production and ensures minimal costs of service provision. Lean allows to achieve more efficient results using less recourses and equipment. What is more, Ergolain constantly improves technological processes and products to reduce damage on the environment by using environmental management system ISO 14001:2005 and the quality management system ISO 9001: 2008.
USE, REPAIR, RECYCLE
Waste remaining after the production process is carefully sorted and transported for recycling. Our clients has opportunity to contribute to our sustainability policy by renovating worn-out furniture and giving it a new life. The remaining or furniture that is no longer in use is donated to institutions organizing social activities, thus contributing to the well-being of our society.
DISPOSED FURNITURE COLLECTION
Both production waste and obsolete furniture are collected by the company and handed over to material recycling.Since 2019, when the product, packaging and waste accounting information system (GPAIS) established, we have joined it and declared waste responsibly.
The most common materials sent for recycling are plastic, cardboard, wood (furniture wood, panels, solid wood, etc.) and metal. All furniture produced in our factory is packed with easily recyclable materials, which can be sorted responsibly after assembling the furniture.
Due to cooperation with sustainable waste recycling companies who discarded, obsolete, finished materials return to us as raw materials we are able to create furniture using reiterative materials.
