She describes the project as unlike anything she usually designs: a monochrome, monumental interior that grew out of a wish to start with a blank page – and has since become a benchmark for sterility among other clinics. That space had to accommodate four dental treatment rooms, an operating room and a separate room where patients recover after surgery.\u003C/p>\n\u003Cp>The architect explains that the underfloor heating had to be completely redone: there can be no heated flooring around a dental chair, while all the necessary engineering services have to be routed to the chair itself. Ventilation came with many requirements too. Engineering equipment is concealed in niches and cabinets so that nothing breaks the line of the walls – even the server room is built into a kitchen cabinet. Aluminium-effect elements recur throughout the clinic: in furniture frames, handles and wall details.\u003C/p>\n\u003Cp>The stone and steel textures were chosen deliberately. According to the architect, they convey naturalness, cleanliness, safety and reliability – exactly what patients expect from a clinic. The reception area has a ceiling nearly 4 metres high with large-diameter dimmable lights, and a stone reception desk.\u003C/p>\n",{"acf_fc_layout":122,"type":123,"title":105,"use_h1_title":95,"small_title":95,"text":128,"button":105,"layout_color":118,"container_size":101,"padding_top":119,"padding_bottom":120},"\u003Ch3>Furniture made for a single project\u003C/h3>\n\u003Cp>On the show, the architect made a point of thanking the Ergolain team: in her words, not every manufacturer would take on ideas like hers. Ergolain made all of the clinic’s furniture, from upholstered pieces to cabinetry. “Every piece of furniture was created specifically for this clinic,” says Jurkonė.\u003C/p>\n\u003Cp>The waiting area features custom-made leather sofas, a mirror suspended from the ceiling and a hanging glass shelf. At reception, there is an ergonomic Profim Violle chair whose chrome details echo the interior finishes. The treatment rooms are fitted with individually designed cabinets tailored to the work of the medical staff.\u003C/p>\n\u003Cp>One of the most technically interesting pieces is an arch-shaped desk made from brushed steel-effect HPL board, together with a lockable cabinet built into the wall.
